Poppleton is a pig, a simple and slightly simple-minded pig. There are three stories in this book. First he goes to the sea. Next he discovers lint (yes, lint). Last, he suffers while eating grapefruit.

Pretty ordinary stuff that even the wonderful drawings of Mark Teague can’t liven up completely. I asked Thomas whether he liked this book a lot, a little, or not at all. “A little” he replied.

Thomas gives us a decent reading. I doubt whether it’s long enough to ease listeners to sleep…
