The story’s well known but the rich illustrations really make this book stand out. Each page of text is depicted by a beautiful full page painting. The text is also surrounded by small illustrations highlighting yet more parts of the story. Watch out for wolf, he’s pretty scary!

This story is a variation of the “Old woman who swallowed a shoe” tale. It’s a fun story but not that challenging for Thomas, he doesn’t need all that repetition in a story.
